GameChef '06: First Course in print!
August 5, 2006 - The world's best indie RPG designers of 2006 have their games go on the shelf with Game Chef 2006: First Course in August!

SEATTLE - Technomancer Press, LLC will have the first print edition of the 2006 "Game Chef" challenge winners available by GenCon.  Technomancer, publisher of 'High Adventure, Low Price' RPG books, is happy to see 4 of the top 8 indie RPG design winners into this first print volume, including grand prize winner Moyra Turkington's 2-hour procedural drama/cop show RPG "Crime and Punishment". A second volume (Game Chef 2006: Second Helping) is to follow.Further, all profits from the GameChef series will be devoted to the Child's Play Charity, bringing games to sick kids in children's hospitals.  As Game Chef lead Andy Kitkowski notes, "If it sells, yay, more cancer kids get Gameboys."  Game Chef is also a nominee for the prestigous 2006 Diana Jones Award, to be awarded at GenCon.Game Chef 2006, First Course appears in stores and at the PAX convention on August 25, and a limited number of copies will be on sale at the Studio2Publishing booth at GenCon August 10th to celebrate Game Chef's Diana Jones Award nomination.  Distributors and retailers can order via their accounts.


For the past three years, gamers and geeks around the world have raised nearly a million dollars in toys, games and cash for sick kids in Children's Hospitals across the globe through a grassroots charity called Child's Play. Created by Penny Arcade, no "Administrative Fees" or other nonsense is collected; all gifts and donations go directly to the hospitals for distribution to sick kids. This year Child's Play is expanding worldwide to help Children's Hospitals across the globe. Below is a list of Children's Hospitals that need your help. Selecting one will direct you to that particular hospitals Amazon wish list. Any items you purchase from that list will be delivered directly to the hospital you select. Also be sure to choose the shipping address to the hospital instead of your own!
