Press ReleasesHundreds of passionate football fans in the US, Europe and Asia played The Big Game using Pizza Box Football. For the second consecutive year, their prediction was right on the money.
For Immediate Release (San Francisco, CA, February 4, 2007): Hundreds of board game players around the world joined together to make a prediction for The Big Game during Pizza Box Football's 2nd Annual Predict The Winner for Event. Players' results predicted a victory for Indianapolis by a score of 33-20. In Miami on Sunday, the Colts defeated the Bears 29-17.

"Our players really do a great job with this one-of-a-kind event," said Erik Smith, president of On The Line Game Company and co-designer of Pizza Box Football. "Players download free teams that work with their existing games and reported their results back to us through This is our favorite time of year."

One key trend emerged from the games, played between January 23 and February 3. Indianapolis won 91% games where they scored 23 points or more, but Chicago won 92% of games when Indianapolis scored fewer than 23 points. In total, Indianapolis won 67% of games played. When all scores were summed and averaged, Indianapolis was favored by 6.8 points.

Last year's prediction was also right on the money. Pizza Box Football players had predicted a Pittsburgh victory over Seattle with an average margin of victory of 12 points. In 2006, the Steelers defeated the Seahawks 21-10.

The Pizza Box Football game (packed in its very own deep-dish pizza box) lets players feel like an NFL coach, player and fan all at once. Its robust, statistically accurate play satisfies even the most demanding football enthusiast while remaining accessible for the novice fan. Retailers can experience Pizza Box Football and speak to the designers at the upcoming Toy Fair in New York, February 11-14, 2006, booth 5076.
